Posse has focused, adjustable peri-incisional support for edema control, a known method to decrease pain and improve recovery (1,2).
Posse offers a non-pharmacological, adjunctive method to address the clinical cascade of inflammation and pain while also supporting the incision area.

Abdominal support has been shown to improve functional mobility,
a key discharge measure (3).
Posse provides patients with light abdominal support, but with the concurrent and prioritized incision support needed for recovery.

Surgical site infections are one of the most common c-section complications at 3-15%. Regular wound inspection is an essential part of post-op care (4).
Posse's drop-down front is designed to make wound inspection easier for patients & clinicians. Posse can be used for non-complicated wounds as well as those with a wound vac.

Binders focus at the abdomen leaving the incision unsupported. They compress above the surgical site with downward pressure into the gravity dependent pelvis and incision area. Worn pulled down over the incision as a “repurpose”, binders block hip motion limiting function including sitting and walking.

Like binders, post-baby “shaper panties” focus on the abdomen. Pressure is again superior and downward, leaving the incision at risk for edema and increased internal pressure. There is no clinical rationale, and the compression levels are untested and not adjustable.

Mesh panties have no clinical rationale or purpose. Built to be loose, they offer no incision or abdominal support.
Mesh is short-term solution and the "It doesn't hurt, but doesn't help" option.
We are actively recruiting clinicians, CROs and other partners to expand Posse's reach. Contact us if you are interested.
